True Mothering: The Ways We Cope Workshop (February 2026)
True Mothering: The Ways We Cope-Nervous System Attunement, Embodied Reparenting & Pathways to Wholeness
Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 1-4P
Location: Indwelling Community Room
Guide: Hilary Buckwalter-Wilde
Investment: $79
*Workshop limited to 12 participants
We all develop coping strategies—some conscious, some unconscious—in order to survive. From scrolling, shopping, sugar, alcohol or other substances, to patterns of overwork or self-sacrifice, our nervous systems adapt in creative ways to help us endure. But over time, these strategies can keep us small, disconnected, addicted, and exhausted.
In this experiential workshop, we will explore the difference between false mothering (comfort habits that numb or distract) and true mothering (practices of attunement, care, and reparenting). Through guided nervous system practices, embodied inquiry, and community reflection, you’ll learn how to:
Recognize the ways you’ve been coping—and the intelligence underneath them.
Shift from automatic survival strategies into conscious self-nurturing.
Practice embodied reparenting to meet unmet needs with compassion.
Cultivate nervous system regulation as a daily form of sustainable self-care.
Begin rewriting your relationship with comfort, safety, and vitality.
This workshop is an invitation to reclaim your inner mothering presence—the one that is steady, wise, and deeply attuned. Together, we’ll practice turning toward ourselves with love and support, creating pathways of wholeness that last.
*This workshop will be offered to women, women identifying individuals, and non-binary people who are comfortable in a space that centers the experience of women.
To Register: You can complete registration by completing your purchase through this website, or by sending $79 to @sacredcounselduluth on Venmo. If you use Venmo please indicate which workshop you are registering for.
Workshop Refund and Cancellation Policy:
There will be no refunds offered for this workshop. The workshop cost is non-transferrable. If you are unable to attend for any reason, we ask that you offer your spot to someone else, perhaps a friend, family member, or someone on the waiting list.
